Madrid, July 26th, 2022 - Clupik closes its second round of financing, raising €750,000 to continue its international expansion project. The Madrid-based startup, dedicated to the digitisation of sports entities, is already present in more than 20 countries in Europe and Latin America.
The sports club management platform has raised 500,000 euros in private capital thanks to co-investment from various Business Angels, including SportBoost, Iker Casillas' accelerator for the world of sport.
The relationship between Clupik and SportBoost began at the end of 2021 when the United Arab Emirates Football Federation (UAE FA) and Dubai Future Foundation launched a challenge to digitise their sports entities in which up to 100 companies from around the world participated. Clupik was the startup selected by SportBoost to develop the last phase of the project in Dubai.
Now SportBoost goes one step further in this relationship and decides to co-invest in Clupik betting on this comprehensive solution that increasingly helps more clubs and sports entities to make the final leap towards digitization with their own website and personalized app.
Iker Casillas assures that "at SportBoost we are very satisfied with the work Clupik has done with the United Arab Emirates Football Federation and Dubai Future Foundation. That is why we have not hesitated to accompany them in this international expansion. It is a very useful management tool for any sports organisation."
Thanks to this tool, sports institutions can save 75% of the time invested by the different departments, achieving a more efficient management.
Álvaro Herranz, CEO of Clupik, adds that "we are very happy with the trust and entry of Iker Casillas and the SportBoost team in Clupik. His knowledge and experience, together with the rest of the financing, will allow us to continue our growth and expansion, bringing us even closer to top level professional sport".
In addition, ENISA (Empresa Nacional de Innovación) has also placed its trust in this innovative business project by granting them a financial boost of an additional 240,000 euros.
With this capital, Clupik plans to consolidate its position in Europe and continue to expand the development of its management tool with new functionalities and integrations to reach a greater number of sport modalities around the world.
